@01:07lol love the disclaimer :D

My lecturers say that the hardest thing is finishing. So best of luck.

As for me, like the rest of the world will wait for your finished product. :P

The Submariner is my thesis film for the California State University Long Beach film production program. It is due for completion near the end of this summer.
I aimed to take influence from early Soviet propaganda and to achieve a "painted film" look reminiscent of films that were ink colorized by hand.

By Christopher J. Rock
Starring Kenneth Page, Chris Page, Tim Lowe, and Christopher J. Rock

Shooting Info:
Panasonic AG-HVX200, HD/24p, DVC Pro
Edited in Final Cut Pro.

@01:29I don't think you're the only one. I didn't convey the story much, but hopefully the final cut will make all clear in about a month or so.

@01:29No official name yet, but it's acting as the basis for much of the final soundtrack.

It's shifting between a GM7 and GbM7.

@01:27Great stuff (though I agree with the comments about the last two shots). One thing though - the captions say the film was disovered Winter 2008, and 'reborn' Summer 2008. You can't show the film before it's discovered!

@01:27Well, in the northern hemisphere, winter comes before summer. Would you happen to be in the South?

No, I'm in the Northern hemisphere, but I think I see my misunderstanding now. Jan/Feb are, here, considered the last two months of the previous year's Winter. Makes sense now, thanks.

@01:28No official name yet. The OST is not yet complete.

The song in the trailer is the foundation being used for others in the final product. Right now I'm calling it "Submariner Reborn."

We'll see if that sticks.

andrew baron vartian. i believe hes still getting his general eds and academics out of the way. i believe lb requires 2 years of that before you can actually move on to your major.

He wouldn't happen to live in the dorms; be into sound design; have big, brown-colored hair; and a beard, would he?

I think that's the only Andrew I know, but I'm not sure what year he is.

@01:07I really like the style you're going for but it broke away in the last two shots.

Yes hes now under water, but does the level of contrast and saturation need to change?

Would love to see the finished piece. Great work.

@01:07This is true and you're not the first to think so.

On the one hand, I do like how those shots look and that's why I left them that way, on the other hand, those shots are the least likely to remain unchanged but I had to get the trailer done by a school deadline.

Will they look that way in the end? The world may never know. . . .

(DISCLAIMER: The world will eventually know)
